I must have life really rough to have to go to the internet to find something to complain about.
Head banging: why don't folks just say where on the planet their garden is, what type of soil they have in the first place. Why do we have to draw it out of them? It isn't like we're all going to hop on a plane and go visit them!

Arrrgggh!

Try working at a garden center where they bring you a old dead leaf and get upset when you can not tell them for sure why their plant died . Most have no understanding at all why you need good soil or why feeding your plants helps. One of my favorites is why do I need to water plants when the ones growing in the woods or side of the road live on just rain water.

I'm amused with the perlite/fertilizer question.
HELP! These white fungus balls just showed up! Some have liquid inside when smashed. Can my plant be saved?
Learning has to start somewhere.
What gripes me are snarky answers given by those who are knowledgeable and rude.
No wonder so many new members don't come back!

The last time the subject of 'where are you , what zone etc was discussed we actually lost pertinent info that was requested when a new member joined.
So now we have to pull to get the info.

Cant find the old grumpy thread. Must have died after I banned myself from it. nodding Well Im back and Im grumpy, BANKS BANKS BANKS Grumbling . Why is there no customer service anymore...they tell you to go to ATM. No drive thru tellers. My big comlaint of the day tho is cell phones and having to send you codes before you can do anything. What if you dont have your phone, well your SOL, and your especially screwed if you do not have a debit card to give them last four digits. And I dont. I find it really irritating not to be able to get to your own money. I know I know I know...its for my own protection. BS, they have never stopped one fraudulent charge yet. I just had to leave 6 people in line, while I went to my car to look for my phone so I could bring it in bank and have the teller call me with code. Were my passwords not enough, was my DL not good, o hell no...had to get that freakin phone that I hate anyway. Surprise lady....its me. I just took my money and went out the door with the line out it at this point. Glad I was first in line. Thumbs up

wew...thanks for letting me get that out.

Not really a grumble but I was amazed that after they snuffed the Ask a Question thread and we peed and moaned till they brought it back, it went from simply being used to large number of new posts if not every day, every week. WITH, to me anyway, most of them being of the type of:--
---- I BOUGHT/HAVE a Pixilazoid Bangthedrumzium that my cousin 83 times removed gave to me during the full moon, with a bag of Snagzoid fertilizer.
How good is this in the soil I bought when I was 15?
I just retired. Thank You!

Pam and all. Here is the old grumpy thread. It just fell far down due to no posts. I guess that's good!

Sallymander ~ you popped up on my " All things CB radio " thread a while back, so I thought I'd do you a courtesy call to ask how you are, and are you interested in CB radios yet, or did you just punch in there by mistake, or because you were bored, grumpy, groggy, or otherwise ... ? ☺

Shout out to RpR - R U snowed ☃ in (or snowbound) ❄ ❅ up there in the north country by now?

And back to Sallymander ~ listen to everything that RpR says - he knows what he's talking about for sure, but he may "humor you" at first, to shake the cobwebs off and take a good look at you ☻

Well, time for another cup ☕, maybe listen to some tunes ♬♪ and hope for the best. P.S. I hate Mondays ☹

✌ peace out (as they say in Portlandia)

No it is actually sunny with a temperature a bit above average today.
The weather expert forecasters forecasts have been , except for being colder than average most days, far from accurate on the rain/snowfall front.

Wisc. East of here about 100 miles DID have a genuine snow storm but that went away which is normal for this time of year.
We have had early snowfalls that stay around but they are not common.

Regardless to the cold, I like going places this time of year as with the leaves gone you can see things that are hidden in summer.
A GRUMBLE:
My Social Security payment got reduced because I send stuff they want back at my pace, not theirs; it will be given back but who are they to expect me to be any more efficient in such matters than the government is, good grief. Whistling

Ha ha Sally -- I plead guilty to not identifying my location on my profile. If my region would affect an answer to a question, I just include that in the thread. You are right, I have no expectation of stray gardeners knocking on my door, and my actual location is not a secret. At various times my stated location has been Pacific NW, Washington, north Snohomish County, Stanwood, or Cedarhome. I got my feathers ruffled when this site took on a much more pro-USA stance than I was comfortable with, which then prompted me to disassociate myself a bit. I'm actually a bit on the flip side - it tends to annoy me when folks rather demand to know where a person is when that may or may not have anything to do with their question. I usually just answer it with the caveat that I am in the PNW and my conditions may be different than theirs. Works for me.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
