Yup, actual September blooms on August 28! Well only cheating a little bit;



My first ever re-bloom scape, full of September blooms, in eight years in my sandy, rocky, zone 4a garden, MISTER BUTTERS. Started blooming on July 5th, last bloom on August 21st.

Albion Moonlight and Boundless Beauty. Boundless Beauty is a pretty one, but I've been watching it all season and those big fluffy blooms don't close very well....they flop and make a mess on everything.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Rainbow Mesa. I had a really nice image of Rainbow Mesa the night before, downloaded the images and realized there was a terrible, hail and bug damaged leaf right next to the bloom This bloom was on the other side of the clump.

Haven't had time to take many photos this year. As some may know I've been working on clearing out my seedling bed from 2016. I have it about half emptied. That'd be about 250 dug and 250 to go. Except those will have to wait until next year. I had to get started on cutting things back and putting down more mulch. Anyway...here are pictures of today's blooms. Most are almost done.

What a wonderful way to begin September with such lovely blooms from so many of you. There's only a couple here, and both are small flowers which you have seen before, but this time of year, all flowers are welcome.
