Photos from this morning in the garden:
'Dixie Land Band': Love how the midrib looked much whiter today than yesterday.
Thumb of 2019-09-02/Seedfork/5d5bbd
'Passion for Red': Had two very bright blooms this morning.
Thumb of 2019-09-02/Seedfork/b75c25
'Rose Emily': This is a short plant, but it is a great little performer, I have it in about three places now it multiplies so well.
Thumb of 2019-09-02/Seedfork/25f798
'Orange Velvet': I might have posted this so often people are tired of seeing it, but from the looks of it, it has a few more good days left with all those buds remaining. The great thing about it is that it has bloomed one to three flowers at a time and has not just had a few days of blooms. I love it when a plant spaces out the blooms like that, especially if it is on a plant with only a few buds to start with. Of course there is nothing that puts on a bigger show that a plant with tons of buds that opens up on a single day.
Thumb of 2019-09-02/Seedfork/91dea2

'Yellow-Green NOID': Wanted to post this photo to show my complaint with this plant. The one scape up high with the bloom is so pretty, but look down lower and you will notice a bloom deep down in the foliage, and another scape that looks like it is also going to be very short. If all the scapes on this plant were as tall at the best one, this would make it onto my favorites list in my garden.

I'm so glad that everyone else is still getting gorgeous blooms. Here is my first bloom (rebloom) on Fred's LILLIAN'S QUEST FOR GRAPE-NESS - and I love love love it! But unfortunately I didn't notice the ants until I brought it into the kitchen for pollinating -- but I put it on a large plastic bag and sprayed all around the pot with Raid to hopefully contain them to the pot. I've had a terrible time with ants for the last month or so, but I've just terminated my old pest control service and gotten a new local service now and they are great. So hopefully ants will not be a problem in the future.

This is my last scape in the garden, and I'm putting ONCE IN A WILD MOON frozen pollen on this bloom -- probably won't take this late in the season, but you know -- I had to try! Hilarious! Whistling

Very nice everyone!

Congratulations and good luck with your frozen pollen Betty.

Larry those colors pop for sure. I've got reblooms on 'Rosy Returns', 'Happy Returns', 'Stella De Oro' and 'Black Jack' that all get lost in the foliage. It seems all were more noticeable this year. You're right, it's not a good trait, it's like wasting blooms. The color and form of your NOID is very pretty and refreshing. Perhaps she's pollen fertile.
God blessed me with dirt.

While waiting for my re-bloom scape to open its first bud, I was poking around under our pine tree and lo and behold, a missing cultivar! After clearing a bunch of three foot tall grass and pushing some low pine branches aside;

TOPGUNS MR BIG
Bob Scott - 2001
Tet - 26 inches
Zone 4a

A really nice double that apparently grows well when buried under grass and trees. Joy has a good photo of it in the database, go take a look.

It's the VLA National Radio Astronomy Observatory 'Searching for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, ( I directed that once) located in central New Mexico.

Or maybe it's the Rockettes (I worked with them once upon a time.)

Or really it might be the last day of SEARS TOWER bloom, aligned to the sun, all throwing their last bloom in unison, yeah, "that's the ticket."

Thanks for all the comments, thumbs and acorns for images I tip my hat to you.

I like a thin white edge on the darker blooms too. Thumbs up White midribs can be tricky, they either work or they don't. The ones on Dixie Land Band make the whole bloom pop. Very pretty.

S13-11 bloomed a bit before the EOM but here is one at 4:30pm on a hot TX day. Holds up well for "thin" substance but mainly keeps living in my partially shaded tree rooty sand.

Well, I won't show 'Orange Velvet', and 'Lime Frost', and 'Helen Elsie' today even if they are blooming.Mainly because I have a new rebloom today that I am so thrilled to see.
I was beginning to wonder if any of my sculpted relief plants were gong to have any late rebloom.
'Carved Coral': Love this color better than the early season color.

Also had a rebloom on 'Sue Rothbauer' also today, but it wasn't very well formed.
