It's time for our yearly planning thread.

I have 14 roses coming in November from Palatine, 11 of which will be new to my garden:

Philatelie
Paul Gaugin
Henri Matisse
Eifelzauber
Chartreuse de Parme
Elfi von Dassanowsky
Emma Haftl
Barock
Edgar Degas
Butterfly
Augusta Luise
Sonnenwelt -- a second one because last year's is growing so beautifully
Soul Sister -- a fourth one because the other three are wimpy own-root roses
Pirouette -- a replacement for one I lost a few years ago

I've ordered five from Regan, which will arrive in February 2020. All of them will be replacements for roses I've lost over the years:

Halle
Hollywood Star
Las Vegas
Ninety-Niner (Regan's name for Rosie O'Donnell)
Special Occasion

I already received six from Roses Unlimited a few weeks ago. Some are replacements for lost roses and some will be duplicates of roses I already have. There is nothing new to my garden in this order:

Lady of the Mist
Eliane Gillet
English Perfume
Brass Band
Versigny
Blush Veranda

I contacted Hummingbird Roses to ask about some roses and heard that I'll have to wait until spring. All of her saleable inventory has been depleted for now. I'm happy to hear about her success in this new venture.

I have a merchandise credit from Edmunds' Roses for two roses that arrived DOA. I probably won't use the credit because even the ones that had signs of life on arrival are not looking great. I suspect this nursery will be off my list permanently from now on.

Wow Zuzu! Your list sounds great. Hurray! I'm looking forward to seeing your Pirouette and all the roses in the Painter Series. I really wish I could get Claude Monet which I saw and smelled at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden a few years back. I wonder why it's not offered in the Painter Series?

I just got Purple Lodge and Connie's Sandstorm from Burling. I'm getting Twice in a Blue Moon from Wisconsin Roses in November. I'm considering getting more Belle Story from Hortico and also Chandos Beauty but I'm trying to figure out where they'd put them since I'm out of room. Thinking

I'd also like to get Emily Bronte from David Austin. I wish they'd offer their 2020 roses a bit sooner.

SoCalGardenNut, you certainly have a lot of digging ahead of you. It is going to look fabulous!
I pre-dug my holes in preparation of a Spring rose delivery. The soil was removed and place in individual plastic bags - amended and tied closed.
Aside from making it quicker to plant come this Spring, I get a chance to evaluate the drainage. If necessary, I will dig the hole a little deeper and/or wider. Over the winter, I will map out and decide where to site each rose in my preexisting garden beds.

That's a great idea. I'm going to plant them slowly. This morning my husband already dug out a few plants and I'm not going to fill them, ready for Spring planting.

I'm the straggler without any order yet. Barock is so pretty. Hope there will be lots of photos from everyone.
That is great news about Hummingbird's Nursery doing so well. It does pull the rug out from under my Fall order plan though. I was holding out especially for her, the bands she sent were so wonderful.
It looks like Antique Rose Emporium is going to reel me in if they have free shipping Cyber Monday. I want Francis Dubreuil.

No orders here this fall. Need to get the ones planted this spring to survive winter first. All my current available spaces are taken unless I change around some plans for some current space taken by other plants. Whistling Whistling

Love most of the roses on this list! I am new here, so I have a couple of questions, please. How do you manage so many roses? Do you grow many in pots, or in a large garden? What vendor is RVR?
Thanks!
Sandy
