The Neoregelia 'Groves Cotton Candy' pup on the left stands out from it's litter mate with green freckles.

My Aechmea phanerophlebia is flowering, it has had an offset growing for almost a year, leaves get a red coloring when we cool down some.

First time seeing this phenomenon. 😎
Looks like this Billbergia 'Kyoto' heard my complaints on the all to quick flowering and decided to give seconds.

Here is what I have as Aechmea gamosepala 'Lucky Stripes'.
Thumb of 2019-11-07/ScotTi/48b939

Lin, The Neoregelia 'Lucky Strike' as registered (BCR) looks entirely different, having yellow green leaves with red lineations and stripes on 4" wide leaves. It is said that it loses the striping as it comes into flowering and the plant becomes coral red.

I took a chance an ordered a 'Pemiento' from a sort of unusual site but I am more than pleased with the plant that arrived today. It is a large offset with a large mass of roots. The pot in the picture flares out at the top, it is about 8" across so you can get an idea how large the plant is.

Has anyone else ever ordered from these folks?
