Considering the amount of year-round gardening you get done, I think I'll stop moaning about not being able to get out and do things in my garden. It has been a very mild winter here, though, the ground has remained open all winter, except for the first couple of inches now and then. In a "normal" (long forgotten now) winter, by end of January the soil should be frozen down about a foot, solid as a rock. Today, I was able to dig over a section of the garden. I worry my friend, I worry what the future will bring....
