Considering the amount of year-round gardening you get done, I think I'll stop moaning about not being able to get out and do things in my garden. It has been a very mild winter here, though, the ground has remained open all winter, except for the first couple of inches now and then. In a "normal" (long forgotten now) winter, by end of January the soil should be frozen down about a foot, solid as a rock. Today, I was able to dig over a section of the garden. I worry my friend, I worry what the future will bring.... Thinking
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."

I spoke with my 93 year old dad in England last week and he said the very same thing. Can't remember the last time the ground froze. Main thing is dont worry about things you don't have control over. Life is too short.

Good advice. But I'm a registered, card-carrying worry-wort so I HAVE to.... Green Grin!
