Is this the time of year that most Hoya start blooming? I have three (maybe four) that I've noticed that have started blooming. I was expecting it to happen later in the spring. I know Mariedorer has one, do you have more blooming? Does anyone else?

Lacunosa peduncle. I knocked it off when I was opening up the curtains this morning. I didn't notice at the time. I just found it on the floor.

My Hoya shooting star likes the cooler conditions, and it gets the feel of it since it is by our sliding door. It has been in bloom during the Christmas season, then it finished it off by Janaury only to set another batch of buds on the same peduncle. So I guess I can say it is still blooming time for it.

My two other Hoyas, I know their bloom time is almost always around June yet. So it is just leaf formation mode for now.

How often do you water your shooting star? I know you've said before but I couldn't remember. I feel like I should be watering mine more.

I always keep it moist, so every other day in winter. But during the longer drier months, everyday.

No blooms here; not even forming buds yet.
Mine start forming buds in June, too. Growth in general is sluggish right now. Otherwise, all in my Hoya collection are healthy.

This morning my linearis dropped its peduncle Crying
I can understand why this one did, it was an existing peduncle from when I purchased the plant two-ish months ago and recently the conditions (that it must've loved) changed. My retusa was looking like it needed a humidifier so I added one in the area and I guess the linearis doesn't appreciate it as much as the retusa. About a week after adding the humidifier, the peduncle dropped. That's the only thing I can think of other than just being inexperienced with helping them along to bloom. Do I water more or less when forming a bloom, leave it alone entirely, should I still wet the leaves like I have been etc. The linearis was loving a weekly bath (no water to the soil, just the leaves) once a week and I stopped when I put the humidifier in. The linearis is used to monsoon conditions rather than constant humidity which is why I devised the weekly bath plan.
The lacunosa...that one was unexpected to begin with. I didn't even know it had a peduncle let alone buds on it. I'm puzzled by that one. I've had it for a year in the same spot and never moved it. I didn't think a curtain would be rough enough to take it off, but maybe it was. The leaf next to it was on the floor too.
I'm bummed. Still have my fingers crossed for my DS70 and multiflora, though.

Thanks. I think I should probably bump up the watering.

I find Hoya shooting star quite thirstier compared to my other Hoyas, leaves are different too, thinner and not succulent compared to the others, and likes to feel cool air around.
