Oh, and I found another peduncle on my linearis that dropped one a couple of weeks ago so I'm less forlorn about that plant now. There's hope Smiling

Don't feel too bad. Hoya drop leaves and peduncles when they are too dry, too wet, feel a new draft or have a sudden hot flash, even when you look at them the wrong way - the Hoya version of pouting.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

Oh, yes Daisy, I know all about Hoya pouting. I've moved the plants from one location to another. They hate being moved !

I'm getting a bloom!!!!!! Actually more than one! Hurray!
I have not been out to the GH for a couple days as my kidz were here, went out to water today and found this well developed bunch of buds on the plant I have labeled as 'Chimera'. There are some others developing on it too!

Thanks! This is the plant I have that is labeled 'Chimera'. Which to my knowledge is not a valid cultivar name, but that is what it was labeled when I bought it. Its like a Silver Pink on mega steroids, and in full sun the pink turns almost red. Its a very old plant, I have had it for years

Looks like a variety of Hoya pubicalyx and I love those pink splashed leaves! Lovey dubby The leaves look a lot like some on line photos of Wax Plant (Hoya pubicalyx 'Royal Hawaiian Purple') but RHP has really deep purple blooms. Can't wait to see your flowers, once they open!

I'm sure some of this coloration is high light dependent. This plant hangs in a space unobstructed by anything else. These are leaves from a normal Pink-silver I have growing elsewhere

Definitely a H. pubicalyx; on some cultivars, leaves can be splashed silver, pink or even totally purple. Sun stressed leaves can be all sorts of shades of pinkish-red. The blooms should more determine which cultivar your plant is.

I bought cuttings from Australia in a Hoya Co-op on DG about 10 years ago of what was supposed to be Wax Plant (Hoya pubicalyx 'Royal Hawaiian Purple') which can have pink splashed or really deep reddish-purple leaves and the blooms are a really gorgeous purple color. When my cuttings matured and bloomed, much to my dismay, my plant was determined to be Wax Plant (Hoya pubicalyx 'Red Buttons') rather than 'Royal Hawaiian Purple'. Sad

I gave my 'Red Buttons' to a neighbor when we moved a few years ago, these are old photos:
