I bought Cobalt Rings, because I really wanted a flower that had the patterned eye. Mine has never had the patterns. It is a nice looking flower.

Mary, it is still a beautiful bloom. I knew the patterns do vary, I didn't know there could be no pattern.
God blessed me with dirt.

Robin, someone mentioned it may have to do with coolness or heat? I don't remember where I read that. I also have Get Jiggy, and wonder if I will get lucky & have a patterned eye. Will see!
Shrug!

Mary - The rings do only show up in cool temps. But the photos you showed would still be considered a pattern. The only daylily I have that has an ornate pattern in hot temps is Venetian Pools.

Mine sometimes shows a white inner ring when night temps are cool.

Here's the most rings I've seen in two years.

It's a fast multiplier here, and I like the look of the bloom in my garden.

This one is new in my garden, so still waiting for it to bloom first time. It did survive the awful wet winter we had which is good news. I will update this report after it actually blooms.

I planted this in the Fall of 2021, with 5 fans. It lost 2 over the winter, didn't bloom at all but ended with 7 fans by October 2022. Hopefully there will be photos to share next year!

2023 update…Cobalt Rings lost two fans by October 2023, ending at 5 fans but it did bloom from July 8-20, with 7 flowers counted.

My flowers weren't really patterned either but they were pretty anyway
