I do like that one, Mike. It totally stopped me in my tracks on the tour. I was mesmerized.

Dave, Fred's Red would look awesome behind The Jury's Out. It's taller and a really red red... you know, for a red. Smiling Although I think it would give The Jury's Out a 10 day head start. It's a little later.

Dave, I just moved mine this spring, but if you have no luck finding it, I can help you out next fall. Just let me know. ...I think I got mine from Johnny Appleseed on the LA if you want to check over by there.

Here are a couple of later bloomers. I am also starting to see some rebloom scapes coming along. These photos were taken early this morning.

Thank You! Debra. I am appreciating late bloomers this year, since daylily season started early and is ending early.
Here is a seedling today that bloomed with really pinched sepals. It has Jocelyn's Oddity in its background, so that is most likely where that came from. The purples seem to be coming on a bit later.

A22 This is a seedling Renee selected a couple years ago, she really liked the FFE. This rarely happens but in this instance this seedling's subsequent blooms, like this one, never looked as good as the FFE. So I am going to try a cross and see if I can improve it. I am not optimistic...

Thumb of 2020-08-09/Dennis616/0f61f8
B259 This is another lavender applique seedling but I think I will keep it because it is a later bloomer and does have a fantastic large applique.

Thumb of 2020-08-09/Dennis616/f8950b
B157 This seedling has an interesting eye that I don't seem to notice in the seedling bed but do in the photos. I hope I tagged it for keeping because it is in a bed scheduled for composting...

A297 Here is yet another toothy seedling I hesitate to scrap because it does some interesting really jagged edge things... I have too many like this...

C251 This is a result of trying to clarify yet another toothy seedling. I am surprised that in this case the clarifying really didn't do a very good job...

Thumb of 2020-08-09/Dennis616/2c995b
A226 This is a seedling I kept because of its exceptional color clarity. Haven't used it as a clarifier yet but probably will at some point...

B213 (sorry I keep posting photos of this one but it is impressing me this year) This seedling will most probably be an introduction some day...

Those are both really nice, Tina. I agree, it must be nice to get bloom that quickly.
It has not happened here.
Coincidentally, an Ink and Pink seedling opened today for the first time. This came to me via Nikki (Scatterbrain) through a trade several years ago. She bought it on the LA. Unlike your seedling, it was not precocious. It was planted in 2018, and this is its first bloom.
A couple of pictures.

Praying for everyone in the path of this Derecho. I hope everyone stays safe and I hope nobody losses any pods. I have a bad feeling many hybridizers across the Midwest are already dealing with pod losses from this powerful storm. Lets just hope its only pods and not life or home Group hug
