Hey all I jsut got some super exciting news. A friend of mine on a couple of seed swap sites I am on, and Seed savers exchnage member is sending me his seeds, all of them. He contacted me and said he is passing the tourch to me. making me the toamto queen. He has over 2000 varieties of heirloom tomatoes taht he is sending me. I will also be taking over his sse catalog and selling seeds on seed savers. He has some of the rarest varieties around. He has been saving tomato seeds since he was like 12 and he is on his 90's. So if any of you are looking for some really cool and rare vareities of tomato seeds for next year hit me up.

I'm your huckleberry!!! I'm definitely looking for some tomato varieties.

I'll also add I'm insanely jealous. ;)

I'll update my want list on the thread, but I definitely want Thornburg's Terrocatta, Red Centiflor, Soldaki, Wapsipinicon Peach, Typhon (Tiffen?) Mennonite, Sheboygan, Champagne Bubbles, Wherokowhai, Big Zac, & Giant Crimson for starters. ;)

CONGRATS! Sounds like alot of fun--- and work :D
But you know how we gardeners love to grow...AND save seeds :D
Cant wait to see your list (if you're putting it out!) I'm with Steve and would love some Wapsipinicon Peach if you have any.

Steve, I just tried the Wapsipinicon Peach and was enticed. Nice little yellow tomato with peach fuzz..I was entranced. A new gardener friend gave me a selection of her tomatos to try, it's fun having someone who's interesting in trying new things/tomatoes. My tomatoes are behind this year. Sad It's been a weird year for growing (and trying to keep things watered in drought conditions)

Since I seem to be on a quest to grow every variety of tomato there is, I'm always up for swapping. Hope you list a few in the swap.

What wonderful news!!! Congratulations on such an honor! Hurray! You deserve it, though!

I don't love fresh tomatoes, but every year I keep telling myself it is going to be the year that I plant tomatoes and I will start making fresh salsa and other tomato-based products (which, ironically, I love). I tried several tomato varieties this year and...well....like another member said: it's 2020. Apparently, this is the year everything goes wrong. No tomatoes for me this year, so I look forward to trying with some new seeds next year.

Good luck with this beautiful and important responsibility that has been bestowed on you!

I'll be posting both Black Beauty and Black Krim this year. I'm still processing the seeds, but I definitely will be offering them.

ok to everyone who responded and asked questions.
The list is up on Seedsavers.org, you have to sign up, and then every time you go into the site you have to sign in. Once you sign in you can go to exchange at the tip and then to vegetabels, down to tomatoes. At the left side of that screen you will go all the way down to where it says listers, and put a check by my name, that will bring up my list on there. Each packet of seeds is $2, even if it says $3, the system would not let me change some. You will get about 20 seeds per order. You can send me a message on gmail, [email protected] and I will respond to all of them.
Thank you
Kim Lund

Thanks for letting us know!

What's the likelihood they'll be there after the swap? I am hoping to get most of what I want/need from the swap first.
