The GardenBuddies site was closed down this week. We are all very sad but some of us do want to stay in contact. So I'm starting this thread here in the hopes that we can all still get together and share our gardens and news about what we've been up to.

I joined here a few years ago and it has been a great experience. There is so much information and I've met so many new friends. Please explore the site. I'm sure you will find many topics of interest to you. In the meantime we can all gather here and keep in touch!

Sounds like Miss Alice tried but didn't have any luck. I'm sure she'll be over here within the next few days.

I hear there is a party in the sandbox for all the GB folks. Thank you Seil for the email.
I joined this morning but haven't had much time to look around.

Hi Pam! Yes, there were different forums for different plants and things much like this one is set up. At one time it was very active but over the years it dwindled. The moderator, EJ, finally decided to shut it down last week. But there is still a small group of us who have been posting there for years and we don't want to just lose track of each other!

This is a fine place to settle in. You will find a friendly group of gardeners here. Explore our forums--- there's a lot here.

Thanks Seil, I sure hope MissAlice and Roelie stops in. I stopped by Clayton's blogg and told him we
were trying to find a place to be. Lots of us are sad to see GB close, EJ's GB was the best.

Pam, GB was a one page first page that was broken down in many Species when it came to plants.
MissAlice had the most replies to her post on the Weather, where we all could see what others were
dealing with weather wise. I just loved that post to learn what other were dealing with and could give them
heads up as to what was coming their way! Seil always had the rose forum posts flowing with her awesome
collections of roses. She is the one that directed us all here. Mr. David in Ks was our educational person and we learned a lot from what he brought to the forum. Very enlighting person and I'll let him tell his story. karma
was my sign in but here I'm using my full garden name. I'm what some of my garden friends call a Hardcore gardener as I grow lots of plants.

Karen, I have already popped into what I specialize in and found some familiar folks here. Yes, there is a lot
to explore!

At one time the rose forum was probably the most active part of Gardenbuddies. Seil and Digger and the lady who ran Tiny Petals were probably the most active posters. I watched from the sidelines since I'm not much of a rosarian-- I've always been a bit afraid of them, and instead concentrated on irises, peonies, lilies and tuberoses.

My garden beds are now at the point that they need major rejuvenation if they're going to survive, so I've been searching the plant-specific forums here looking for hints.

OH I will try. I am Roelie live in Holland had first a garden with all kind of flowers and later many Clematis . Was near Debby in the Silverstar vinery got hearttroubles and went home came in the hospital been operated and in stead of three weeks I was half an year on travel . Was years a member near Garden buddies and now a member here for a year but thought it was only for the newsletter and hope I come in. If I later on see this mail it is a success
Must think on my first days on GB I had so many highlights that were the writing mistakes I made there they gave a red line. I am two days searching everywhere what is here and have to learn a lot but if it is dry and not so stormy I will have a look for pictures of my helleborus

I'm glad you found us, Roelie. I think at one time we had several Clematis specialists on Gardenbuddies-- you, cmweibe (Clayton?), Ton. Was Perkie also one of the Netherlands Clematis group?

Another good thing about pictures is, if you put them in the plant files, after 100 you see no more ads. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Thank you, Karma and David! I'm on the rose forums here now. Please stop in! I do miss Digger and Sue Bennett. We had a lively group. But the group here has been wonderful!

Roelie! Yippee! I'm so glad you made it here! I think you'll get the hang of this place quickly. It really isn't very difficult to navigate. I look forward to seeing your clematis and rose pictures!

Thank you David. We were very close friends she came 2/3 times a year her but disappeared without a sign . . Ton is busy with plans in containers did not hear a long time . We must find Wiebe we need him with his seedlings . After being such a long time from home many clematis died. They got water but no food so the food went all dawn. It is stormy here but in April will get better. I am going back to my old garden with gardenplants . There is a button I touch and all is gone . The worse is I do not remember the names so cannot find persons I am looking for the lady who has that wooden bed with plants livig in the middle of the woods if I only know the state but I had to learn them at school but was no my hobby. Now try a picture there . I believe I started near the end for was past year here and I have still to search. I am coronafree and had my first injection the second near eastern. We are allow to go to the hairdresser since 9 month. In some shops we may with two persons . and if you want to buy you can call pay and fetch it. Only food is free. My sons asked me a year ago has this ever been I sais no . We may be happy eveningclock is from 21.00 till4.30 I believe but in France
