I like the idea of a combination plants photos.

However, on the home page only the latest submissions are displayed.

Sometimes this leads to viewing many photos that I am not interested in.

My suggestion. If a member posts several photos in combination plants, only post one on the home page. Posting as normal on the page that displays all the submissions.

Usually when I look at the combination plants posting, I see that a member has posted several photos with no information whatsoever. A pretty picture is not worth NO words! I am fairly sure that is not what the combination plants section was meant to be.

All I am suggesting is that ALL members be limited to one post to the combination plant section per day or week.

I am an old dog wanting to learn new tricks. Photos without treats are not rewarding.

Unfortunately I think part of the issue is that the UI for drawing the boxes to identify particular plants does not work on mobile platforms (e.g. touchscreens). Quite a few users upload from their phone or tablet (e.g. iPad) and I don't think they're currently able to add the identifying information in those cases.

I agree, adding the tags has it's limitations for many. I would also be terribly sad and discouraged to be limited in how many photos I could add.

Good point. How about filtering the photos on the homepage so that it only shows one photo per member. Members that want to see all the photos could go to the combination plant page. That way you would not be restricted from uploading as many photos as you want.

Problem solved. I deleted the Combination plants from my home page.

I believe that the combination plants page was a really good idea, but it just did not work out.

I'm planning to address this Frank so be prepared to add it back at some point.
