I purchased water soluble 'Jacks' High Performance Fertilizer, 25-5-15 for my Daylilies. I also purchased the Ortho Dial N Spray, the problem is; I don't know how much dry fertilizer to make a 32 oz concentrate. Even if I did know the concentrate formula, I don't know which setting to use specifically for Daylilies.

I was expecting to find all of this info with the product or online. Has anyone here have more knowledge or experience. I'm not too comfortable with guessing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was told there would be no math.

I see your headache, though. If you look at the Jack's website it says to see the injector instructions. If you look at the Ortho website, it says to look at the solution's instructions.

I see on the website, they have instructions for creating the desired concentrated solution for a gallon (divide by 4 for 32oz, or just make a gallon and use what you want when you need it)

Is that English? I guess what I would do is start in the middle. I'd put in 5.4 oz of the dry fertilizer with a gallon of water. (about 1.5 oz for 32 oz, if that's all you want to mix). Set the Ortho at 1:100 setting, and see how things turn out. Seems like that might add enoughu fertilizer to be noticed, but not maxing it out so you risk burning anything. That's where I'd start. And then I'd add more the next time if I thought the results weren't as good as you were hoping.

Hilarious! There always seems to be math. I bought fertilizer for a professional grow operation and a home garden hose end sprayer. It's not easy wanting the best from both worlds.

Thanks Tim for the research and analysis, I sure do appreciate your effort. I tip my hat to you. I can recover from using too little via another application. I wouldn't want to know the outcome of using too much though. I'll go with your recommendation and make a gallon of concentrate with 5.4 oz fertilizer. Thank You!
