What a great list of "wants" we had for spring. I hope everyone had a chance to look through and help out a fellow NGA member. I tip my hat to you.

The 2021 bloom threads are making our lists of daylilies we must add to our gardens grow longer....and longer.... Smiling Let's try (please) to keep this thread on topic and help everyone find the daylilies on their list.

This will sound like a naive question, but are we writing the list on the thread, or linking to our Garden.org profile's wanted plants list? Or either?

It's really not that difficult. Smiling Either works. If you read through the posts at the start of the last "Wanted" thread, (not the end of the thread where the thread was taken off topic several times......), you will get an idea of the types of posts folks make when listing their "wanted" daylilies.

OK. Reason I am asking is that I different lists in different locations. I have a want list on the LA. But I think it may not fully match my list here. Here is my LA list:

Heavenly Dark Knight (for the black scapes, with black-scaped ones from Olallie Gardens as a backup choice, but red-flowers are preferred over yellow)
Abbey Dore Court (for the variegated leaves)
Freaky Tiki (for the speckles) [EDIT: Arriving in spring 2022]
Getting Airborne (less sure about this one as I have unbloomed pollen-parent seedlings from it right now)
Heavenly United We Stand (I will decide on this one when I see the summers blooms) [EDIT: now have]
Midnight Gunfight
Money Maker [EDIT: now have]
Panic in Detroit
Pitter Patter
Purple Leopard (not available until 2023 probably)
Purple Ninja
Smoke Scream [EDIT: now have]
Artificial Evolution (for crazy-high budcounts of up to 150 buds!)
Clown Pants
Pineapple Pinwheel ( https://www.signaturedaylilies... )
Seedling 46-16 ( https://www.signaturedaylilies... )

[I might come back and edit to add more later, so I do not keep reposting - the list will undoubtedly grow much fatter]

OK, less than 5mins later and here is my first edit (hopefully my list from this website, never tried this before):

Editing your post to add more is good, I hope folks go back and read through wanted posts and catch those! You can always place a second post.
I added Heavenly Dark Knight to the garden this spring for the same reason. I'm curious to see what the scapes look like. Have a few Purple Ninja kids from purchased seed that are sending up scapes now. We'll see Crossing Fingers!

Money Maker has been here several years and is looking good. I might have some to share this fall if you don't get it before then and I don't get rust from this past springs purchases. I expect nothing in return except a simple request....pay it forward some day and share a daylily you have with another member who lists a "want". Smiling

Wow! Great. Thanks @Char I would definitely do that. I love the "pay-it-forward" as a concept generally for many things. Karma 101.
Hurray!

Orion, I received Smoke Scream from Partridge Hill Gardens--three nice, healthy fans as a sub for something I ordered that was too small. Ellen was wonderful to deal with. She is going to send the one I originally ordered in the fall, so I got an extra plant, plus a different one as a bonus.

Anyway, Smoke Scream is still listed on her site, but apparently there is only one left. As a new member I can't post the link. Sorry.

Yes, I hope everyone that got Wine Country this year will be posting their blooms somewhere on this website so we have more than a single picture on the Floyd Cove webpage to go by. Please please please please. Drooling Thumbs up

Wine country. Here in my garden it tends to spotting. And so did a lot of the plants they had at Floyd cove when we visited in May. Peter Guidry says it doesn't spot for him. I wonder what the difference is?

Rain and Dew I think often cause a dark bloom to look spotty like that. But sometimes I have blooms look like that and I have no reason for it. Sometimes the early season blooms do that, then they seem to just clear up.

Bravo! Just going by prior threads on coloration/pigmentation, are you located somewhere really hot? I know a first bloom it is too much to expect it to look like the catalog photo, but still "This Charcoal black purple daylily is just as you see" is quoted from the description of Wine Country from the FC webpage. Did the ones you saw when you were on your visit look like the catalog photo? Or like the pic you so very kindly posted?

They weren't quite as dark as the catalog photo but they were darker than mine. I'm in south pa near the md border. It's been hot but not all the time. About the same as the temps in fla. but I don't water daily and they do

I have decided I want evergreens or semi-evergreens only from now on. Some of my dormants are doing well, but others are just sort of existing, and I need to get rid of them. Rust resistance is top priority. I took a chance this spring ordering some evergreens, newer cultivars, with no rust resistance scores in the database. But for next fall I have decided on these:

Ming Porcelain
Willow Dean Smith (no rust score in the database on this one--but I love it so will take the risk)
Going Bananas (no rust score on this one either, but both parents are labeled resistant)
Optical Delight
Rainbow Candy
Passion for Red
Super Purple
Whooperee
Mister Lucky
Brocaded Gown
Attic Antique

Thanks to all for posting your lovely pictures that have helped me decide what I want!

Edited because I found a few on my "want list" and ordered them. I also found WDS on the MP Flower Garden site listed as display only, but I can ask for one to be set aside for me for 2022. I have already received a nice order this year from them, so I may do that.

Ill take daylily anyone has to offer! Im not a part of Gardening.org for that though ,Im truly a giver not a receiver although I lost approximately 90 percent of my collection either because of the soil I bought from a garden center here they mix themselves or, the freeze im not sure what happened ,but im so hurt. I still have Angels View , and William Colby Jones ,Gentle Shepherd ,Kwanso and well๐Ÿ˜ข that's it except one pretty one I don't know the name of. I even lost my favorite, Neptunes Daughter ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข
I lost my Smiling Cobra even ! I don't understand unless something at the nursery used in their raised garden soil killed them supposedly it was organic mix will organic herbicide like corn meal or s something like that hurt them. I've never had anything like this happen. I don't understand. Im trying to make sense of it still ๐Ÿ˜• confused. Daylily are so quick to reproduce. Just message Me ill send you my address Gladly. Thank you anybody!
Im in Balchsprings ,Tx county of Dallas, Texas.
