Look in the https://garden.org/forums/view... there sometimes are folks selling some daylilies there. I have purchased some that were listed there different times.

I don't have but four and I think I found a wonderful person to sell me Carnival in Mexico in August. The rest are either elusive or too highly priced for my pocket book.
I want Black Wolf, Heavenly Dark Matter, Carnival in Mexico and Heavenly Sweet Surrender….so far.

Welcome!
@Daisysdaughter Group hug You lost your daylilies due to the winter storm in February not the soil. I lost hundreds of daylilies and hundreds of noids and seedlings. I only have a handful left. I have wanted to cry almost every day when I walk outside. You are in pain, flowers are very precious to gardeners. I am very limited on what I can share I have a fan or two of Red Reverence. I have some diploid spiders... Chesapeake Crablegs and another one. I know it is hard everytime you walk outside and there is nothing...no green no blooms. Group hug
I will have some iris I can share, too! Even they took a big hit, too.

May many blessings come your way!

Thank you from one gardener to another for your heart felt sympathy Sharon ,I am very sorry for your loss as well. I lost a couple of my floral arrangement rose shrubs also. I just knew that was the freeze though I Just knew they would bounce back but didn't. Anyhow I just last spring I gave some of my hybrid Daylily to a young man due to the fact he needed to provide for his landscape business and we didn't have much at our local garden centers. I hope his customers lillies didn't die. Anyhow , May you be blessed! Ill pm you I would like to send you a fan or two of William Colby Jones. It's just a beautiful day lily to have.🌞 Group hug

Yes it seems like Bluegrass Gardens is long out of business, going by their old website from 2015.
http://www.bluegrassgardens.ne...

Hopefully, someone will have the daylily you seek.

Good Morning Everyone

I am a new gardener, but I am trying to create what I call a heritage daylily garden. My aunt was a hybridizer and I want to plant some of her flowers, but I am having a hard time finding them. I was able to find the daylily that was named after her, but not the ones that she made. If anyone knows where I can get the following daylilies (Timothy, Mama Frost) or any that were hybridized by Jimmie Howton, it would be a great help in my search.

robincrockett10,
Welcome,
Maybe she was a member of a daylily club, check with the club if so, and see if any of the members might have some of those plants. Tell us what area she hybridized in and someone can probably tell you some clubs in that region. Our club has a few beds dedicated to plants grown by regional hybridizers at the local botanical garden.

Greetings Robin

Any that were hybridized by Jimmie Howton.

I see she registered 7 daylilies. Do you need help figuring out which clubs are in the region where she lived?

Those would be your best bet.

Tree Mail me directly if I can help.

I know that she had a garden in Berry, Alabama called Jimmie's Garden. I am unsure if she was a member of a club, but she probably was. I have checked with the family that I am still in touch with and they don't have the flowers either nor do they know where to get them.

I wish I had some of the plants you are looking for. I did a little google-digging and it looks like Jimmie was a member of AHS Region 14. So maybe if you Google AHS Region 14, you can find a way to contact them and see what they know.

You may wonder how Pat found out she registered 7 daylilies so fast. This site has a daylily database.
https://www.daylilies.org/Dayl...

And if you do a google search like "Daylily Mama Frost garden.org", you can see individual pages about all of her daylilies, that maybe you could print for a scrap book or something.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Mama Frost')

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Timothy')

Now, I have to admit I don't know the rules around sending tree mails to random people, but if you open those two pages I listed there, you will see several photos posted by members of this forum. It doesn't seem like either is a regular poster, and of course I have no idea at all if they are still with us, but if I were you and had a noble cause, I might tree mail those two individuals to see if either is willing to write you back. If they still have them, maybe they can help.

Good luck with your search.

@Dmpopma3 the only current source if available for Zollo Omega is the hybridizers Claudia Conway aka "Running fox on the Lily Auction (LA). If you use Facebook you can message her there. I believe that she mainly sell on the LA.

Try "heavenly gardens" by Jamie Gossard for Black Wolf or patrol the LA for a future listing.

Hi Mike,

I'm looking to find the Wolf someplace I don't have to pay quite so much as Heaven is asking for it. It's been out for four years now already. Drooling

I have found everything on my want list from various vendors. I haven't ordered them all yet, but I am in the process. The one exception is Optical Delight, and even that one I have a lead on. It's listed by Cheryl's Daylilies. She's not filling any orders this fall as she is doing an overhaul of her garden, but she's communicated with me. If she still has Optical Delight, she will let me know.

Now I need to dig up all the ones I've decided to cull to make room for my new (I hope) rust-resistant daylilies!
