I've been told this is Datura - but the leaves look wrong and no Plant ID app I use can figure it out.

There are two plants in that pot. The Datura is the taller plant with the dark stem, flower, and seed pod.

The other plant resembles a Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum x superbum) but the leaves are really too generic to give a definite identity. Was it something that you planted or a weed that came up on its own?

The datura must be a volunteer from the soil.
