There are definite signs of spring here. The snow is almost gone and I can see the buds swelling in some of the trees. Its a good thing because I've really had cabin fever. To endure winter I visit several nurseries here and went to a favorite yesterday......Sunriver Gardens, Orem, Utah There were things in bloom and they were unpacking new plants. It really lifted my spirits. This is what I saw.

The low tomorrow, early AM is supposed to hit 32 F and that may - MAY - be the last freezing temps. we have here in NE Mississippi. I can finally begin moving some of my hardier tropical plants outside and its time to begin waking my plumeria from their winter rest. I can perhaps begin shipping some of my staghorns, fiddleleafs, and orchids out that I have orders for. The next few weeks will be very busy and I can't wait! Ken

Paul,

Thanks for sharing all the colorful and beautiful flowers! What zone are you? They don't put some of those flower plants out this early here that you have shown in the pics.

if any of you have a lowes home improvement near you go check out there plant clearance carts . i got 2 beautiful oriental lillies in 3 gallon decorative flower pots for 2.50 each , several 4 inch pots of daisies for 1.25 each , and some pretty succulents for 1.00 today . they had got nipped a little from the cold but were still healthy and thriving . every spring they end up with tons of plants to clearance because of unexpected temp drops . if they get the least bit nipped they go on sale .

i think mother nature has bumped her head and is confused . crazy weather we are having is stressful . they are calling for light patches of frost for us in the morning . it was 82 degrees a couple days ago . A/C on A/C off , heat on heat off . i hope something gives soon i hate waking up with a cold from the heat and A/C changes . plus it has confused my spring plants . Sad
