I am having a terrible time this year with moles. They have made tunnels all over my yard and are uprooting several plants. Is there a humane way to get rid of them or divert them into the woods?

They are really hard to live trap, which we prefer to do with unwelcome critters. There is some chemical, that I don't recall the name of, that you can put down to repel them. Are you sure they are moles? Chipmunks can do a lot of similar damage.

Moles are easy to identify IF you can see them. We have moles, voles, squirrels, and chipmunks and the chipmunks definitely bore tunnels, through 8" of coarse gravel in one instance. I caught them on camera. We grow all our vegetables in raised beds with 1/2" hardware cloth underneath to keep the moles and voles at bay. Chipmunks we live-trap and move them to a wooded area some distance away. You can do a search for mole repellent chemicals online and will probably find some home-brew concoctions that are supposed to work. Good luck Smiling .
