Well, Outsidepride proves itself unreliable again.

Both images posted by Joy are images of one of the Diplacus species.

(poisondartfrog's image looks correct.)

Thanks! Smiling

Outside Pride calls this one and 'Twinkle Yellow' cultivars of Mimulus x hybridus, a hybrid taxon now reclassified as a synonym of Erythranthe x hybrida, so that's how the photos ended up in these entries. If the photos are of Diplacus blooms rather than Erythranthe, I think they should simply be deleted rather than being moved to new entries. Do you agree?

They are Diplacus blooms and not Erythranthe.

There is a general Diplacus entry, so they would be appropriate there.

Diplacus

Up to you, I guess! Green Grin!

Additional comment...

Calif_Sue has photographed Diplacus in both her own garden and in the Annie's Annuals garden, so you may want to wait and get her input.
(Her images are not the same as the "Courtesy of Annie's Annuals" images. )

Sue, I didn't mean to confuse you. There are no issues with your images.

I was just mentioning to Zuzu that you have grown and photographed several Diplacus.
I thought that you might be able to advice whether the Outsidepride Diplacus images should go into to the generic entry or not. If you happened to be able to identify them as separate Diplacus species, then you might advice otherwise.

That's all I meant. Green Grin!

I'm no expert on them, just point and shoot with my camera and look for name tags! nodding
