I'll be there, Lord willin' an the creek don' rise. I'm looking forward to it!

I've been playing catch-up with other things but still getting in a little "dirt therapy" on those irresistibly nice days. I've been dividing and replanting clumps of sweet little yellow daffodils that Geminisage shared with me years ago. They've gotten really crowded, and most are too small to bloom. Some will be are going into pots for the swap. They could be blooming size by next spring, or it might take one more year. I'll put them on my list in the swap tool. I'll be keeping an eye out for other things to share, too!

I'll think about what to bring for lunch...

If anybody wants jumbo caladiums from Bill, LMK soon or order on your own (ad in Classifieds). I'm ordering 15 'Red Flash' but can add up to another 15 by upgrading to a larger regional rate box.

Jill if we should order a heap of caladium bulbs, do we get a better price? I typically order 10 lb box for $20 shipping is $12.95 total is $32.95. Costco prices are better but somehow kinda like our caladium guy.

Bill's bulbs always look better than the Costco ones to me! Rick & Donner & I are splitting a 30 bulb box of the jumbo 'Red Flash'. Bill is usually willing to give us a better price for a "heap" of bulbs... there are also better prices on the site when you order 10 or 20 of a variety. I could see if he thinks we'd save on shipping by adding your 10 pounds (mixed?) to our 30 jumbo bulbs...

Lisa, that's a way better price for 10 pounds than is on his site right now, even with the advertised 10% off.

Oh, and 25 or 50 bulbs are the break-points for better pricing. If we go for a bigger combined box, I want to add 25 'Gingerland'

There are 5 or 6 varieties of jumbo bulbs on special for $2 each... if we ordered a bunch of those, we could see if he'd reduce the price, maybe not as low as on 'Postman Joiner' and 'Red Flash' (the ones he's offering on the special in classifieds forum here for $1.50), but he'd probably do something for us.

Whoa, Bill's prices have gone up big time. A 10 lb mixed box is $62.95 this year, up from $20 last year. Think I probably waited to order mid-summer.

Yes, he has clearance sales!

He said he could reduce some of the prices on those jumbo bulbs that are on sale but not others, depends on the variety. So anybody wanting jumbo bulbs, or wanting other bulbs from his website, it'll be cheaper to order together and save on shipping (and maybe also get additional discounts). LMK by the weekend, please! I'll call Bill on Monday with our order.

Jill I've decided to wait to order caladiums till June/July when Bill reduces his prices. Cost increase for 10 lb box of mixed bulbs—from $20 to 62.95—is a bit steep.

OK. I'm liking $1.50 plus shipping for those jumbo bulbs! I've got an email out to him on behalf of Rick, Donner-Sally, and me.

Any interest in the non-native beauty berries? We have had 2 in large pots on our deck for several years and are switching over to something else. We will also have several liriope coming out that we can pot up for the swap if they are wanted.

I have a big HOSTA, light green, nice flowers. Still do not know its name. I am going to dig them out, because they are too large where they are now. Anyone interested to have them?

I keep hoping somebody would like about 50 square feet of liriope, free for the digging!

I can find a place for a hosta, Francine! If you're using the swap tool, I'll put it on my wish list.

Jill,
Refresh my memory... do you still want the wineberry? If not, I'll list it in the swap.

Also, a few years ago, you graciously offered 2 planters for Larry's garden at 4-H. Would you like them back? Do you recall who the 3rd planter came from?

@critterologist I'll try to look at his site again since I have shaded areas now. Just rec'd the tuberoses from him yesterday - huge as always. Might be able to post a couple for swap.

I'm pretty sure all 3 planters came from me, Rick, and if you don't want them I'll happily take them back. Please list the wineberry. If there are no takers, I'll bring it home for my friend Martina.

Chantell, if you want to add anything to my box from Bill, please LMK right away! I touched base with him yesterday, and he said to call him today since Saturdays are less busy this time of year.
