I was looking at pictures of miniature hosta to identify mine that I want to share, and I saw a picture of Guacamole and it has 2 colors, mine is just one color, so apparently it is NOT Guacamole, the leaves are getting big so I will know exactly how it looks-

Most of my hosta have so quickly gone from spears to full leaves, would be hard to divide already.
Plant it and they will come.

Those big hosta is already partly dug out, so it is just to divide it into parts----My very old red Azalea is fully open, my neighbor white Azeleas too, my pink one is still in buds. My red tree peony is fully in bloom, with 3 blossoms (morphed from red fringed yellow that I bought). I am still looking for a yellow tree peony----

Oh, if someone sees Tuberoses on sale, I would like to have some, depending on price, 2 or 5.

Guacamole is not a mini, think I recall it as being fairly large.

I've waited so long (various distractions) to finalize with Bill that I'm not sure he still has bulbs for me. He hasn't sent me an invoice, think he was waiting to chat. I really will try to get a call in to him this afternoon! If I still have a box coming, I'll add 10 pounds of mixed color caladiums for Lisa and 5 tuberoses for Francine. Will post tomorrow to LYK

Francine,
Seasons Nursery near me had yellow tree peonies for $100.00 each. They only had a few, so I don't know if they're still there or not.

I will have my Fall Planted - Spring Blooming catalogs out at the swap. It may sound early, but these days, things sell out really fast. I will have catalogs out from
- ADR Bulbs
- Brent and Beckys Bulbs
- Netherland Bulb
- VanEngelen

I am planning on ordering from all of them this year, and will most likely place the first order in June.

No way am I going to spent $100.00 for the peony, but thanks for the info, Rick.
Thanks for ordering the Tuberoses for me, Jill.

Jill the Hosta that I think is Guacamole is BIG! That is the one that I am giving away-just sort of light green. -I also have a lot of miniature Hosta that has 2 colors, green and yellow, do not know its name.

Francine,
Just so you know, their tree peonies are in 2-gallon buckets and are about 2 feet tall.

Thanks Rick, very impressive, and probably 99% it will survive. But not right now. I would need to have a place ready for it. Yesterday I cleaned part of my backyard, trimmed part of dead branches of a Viburnum, pulled poison ivy (not finished yet__too hot today), pulled maybe 1/10 of the creeping English Ivy---filled a large Fairfax County garden waste bin---I have 2 bins--I still have long stems climbing that Viburnum, I am not sure what they are. Then a young but already tall volunteer of Japanese honey suckle tree ('trunk about one inch, can cut with my loppers, but I have to crawl passed those branches of the Viburnum), some volunteers of hibiscus (I do not like the color), they are kind of bluish pink with darker center if I remember correctly--I definitely do not like them. What a messy backyard---I need to clean all that, plus carry out to the street the branches of the evergreen that John helped to cut. AFTER I got all those cleaned, then I would purchase the yellow peony----It would be nice to plant it next to the pink one in front, but there is simply no space for it, unless I take out the rambling rose that I purchased long long time ago before I knew that I should read the description of the rose bush how it grows before I ordered it. It is the kind that produces those long long branches-and it only blooms once annually, but what kinds of flowers when it is blooming. Just spectacular. This is an old picture:

Beautiful pic!!!! You all are making me feel like a slacker...I'm going to need to get busy out there!!! Speaking of pics...I need to show you all the beautiful tulips that have been coming up. Wish I'd jotted down the names...so pretty! Sure my grandma is smiling from above. I remember her tulips when I was young...I was just amazed to see them 'wake up' and go 'to sleep' each day!! Lovey dubby

Chantell, that's something Joyanna loves as well, seeing the flowers that close up in the evening and open faithfully the following day. The crocus blooms in the front lawn do that, too!

You all are way ahead of me, I need to get moving out there! Can't wait to see you all at the swap. Sally, I divide my hostas in open leaves all the time, they are quite easy and hardy to divide at any time of the year I have discovered, so don't be shy in trying, you may lose a few leaves, but it bounces back nicely.

Sheela, glad to see that you'll be coming to the swap--

Chantell & Jill, that is the difference of living in the tropics: the flowers just bloom 1 day, and next day it dies. I was amazed when I arrived in Germany, that the SAME flower can last several days, just close to sleep and wake up again the next day----

I'm putting in a plumeria order with DrDawg (Ken) for shipping next week (before the swap!)

I posted about it on the Yardening thread, so please check there for details, and either post on that thread or tree-mail me if you want to add something.
