Can anyone give me suggestions of possible IDs for these 2?

This first one is something that I would totally pick, it was in a pot way too long and once it finally got planted, it no longer had a label and doesn't fit any in my current inventory list or my gopher casualty list. Closest one from that last list is Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'House Afire') but that one is larger, deeper red and has more ruffles on the petals.

The next historic one was labeled with Mandarin Morning and I knew as soon as the buds formed that it was wrong. Again, too long in the pot so I finally planted it in a raised bed where it took off and grew into a big clump within a year and bloomed with these small (look bigger in photo) light lavender blue blooms. Not my taste so will need to move it to my daughters garden ( to feed her gophers) nodding

Appreciate any suggestions Thumbs up

I don't have any suggestions, Sue; but that first iris is a stunning bloom! I tip my hat to you.

To me, the first one looks like the second one, except that the bloom has been out a day or two longer and faded a bit.

The first one is reddish, the second one lavender. Sticking tongue out Green Grin!
The first 2 images are the same plant, just different blooms a week apart, second one in afternoon sun, first one shaded.

The coloring reminds me of my Texas Renegade which is planted out front, but the beard is wrong.

(On my wish list)
Yes, similar in coloring but again, the beard is wrong and MW is more ruffled and a larger bloom. (I took these photos in hybridizers garden)

I did a name search for all plants in the database with "mandarin" anywhere in the name. The only blue iris with "mandarin" in he name was an ensata. Yours is not an ensata. All other iris eith mandarin in the name were shades of orange or pink. So I doubt that your blue bearded iris has mandarin in its name unless it is unregistered. It's more likely that either
1. Your original plant in that pot dropped a seed and then died with the seedling taking over, or
2. Your supplier sent you a mislabeled plant.

Sorry, should have clarified that it was labeled Mandarin something and I knew as soon as the buds formed that it was wrong, I'll edit my post.
I just looked it up and it was tagged as Mandarin Morning, I got it as a trade, sadly, it was wrong.

The other database pictures of Xanthippe's halo shows it has a very well defined border on the edge of the falls. I don't see that on Susan's.

That was exactly my thought, similar coloring but no petal ring.

Close enough, though, to examine the relatives of Xanthippe's Halo!

Similar coloring except the standards are lighter on Magic Warrior, the standards and falls on mine are pretty much the same.
Plus it looks like the tips on MW beards are lavender, mine isn't.
