Cute and very hardy but somewhat prone to spring sickness here (not that it's the only one or the most prone).

I obtained three Siloam Junebug plants in August of 2019, and the plant was a favorite from the start. I planted them by my front door, where they offered a cheery greeting to visitors. In bloom they were petite and pretty, and they rebloomed nicely during 2020. In 2021, they fell victim to my great rust outbreak. I cut them back several times during that season, and they came back and bloomed and rebloomed from May 25 through July 25, but they kept getting rust. I reluctantly got rid of them last fall (2021) as a result. I did love them though, and if you live where rust isn't a problem, this is a great front-of-the-bed garden plant.

Siloam June Bug is a tidy grower here. Flowers bloom just above the foliage. Clumps that have been in the same spot for years continue to flower well and are not aggressive at all. I haven't noticed rebloom. The medium yellow flower with well-defined dark red eye seems more like the color claims of 'Black Eyed Stella' than the namesake, which looks fulvous in sunlight.

It is somewhat prone to spring sickness here, as in @sooby 's garden, but it's not the worst, by far.
No rust over-winters here, so not a problem.

To be honest if I didn't have a lot of space I probably wouldn't grow it. Some garden visitors have bought it because they like the name.

We just obtained Mayor of Munchkinland this spring. After a couple of years testing, it might supplant it.

June Bug is a very nice short plant. Starts to bloom in late June here and usually ends in late July. Has tons of bloom but no rebloom unless it is instant and I don't notice. I have it out at the end of my driveway and it makes a welcoming statement & a cheerful start to summer and my daylily season.
