My local daylily farm is selling a peach daylily they have labeled as Dorothy Lambert, but when I looked it up in the database, it looks nothing like the Dorothy Lambert in the database. I asked if they might have it mislabeled and they sent me the link to an Oakes Daylily listing that is named Dorothy Lambert as well and looks like the one they are selling. Does an entry exist in the database for the one sold by Oakes or is it just an unregistered one with the same name? For reference - this is the one in the database

And this is the one I'm looking at buying at the sale -

The first one matches the registration foto and description. The other is not the registered plant.
Life is better at the lake.

There was an interesting thread on this awhile ago. Apparently Oakes is selling a daylily called "Something" as Dorothy Lambert.

The thread "The real H. 'Dorothy Lambert' daylily?" in Daylilies forum

I bought the one from Oakes and relabeled it as Something. It was a beautiful plant, but it was rust-prone, so I had to get rid of it.

Interesting! If I buy I will likely label it as Something as well, as it is clearly not Dorothy Lambert. Thank you!
