This may sound a little crazy, but I actually found an entire shipment of these "Osiria" hybrid tea roses in Walmart earlier in the spring, so you may want to check your local store. I was SHOCKED finding them there. The catch, they were marketed bare root in plastic bags under the name "Love". I've done internet searches for the rose variety "Love" and have found NOTHING even remotely resembling this, so I have no choice but to believe that they are "Osiria". Mine has bloomed twice this season thus far, and the roses DO have the coloring desired in "Osiria" but the reds are not as dark. They are single color pink to red on one side and solid white on the other side of the petals. My main issue with this rose is that the buds get huge, but the stems do not and the roses themselves tend to droop, even when healthy. This gets worse when it rains!! After blooming, they produce monstrous sized hips, which I would recommend cutting off. I left mine on for better than a month pondering the idea of growing some seed from these, but the plant seemed to go dormant. I've since cut them off, and the plant is still dormant, much to my chagrin. It's only been about two weeks though, so perhaps I'm expecting overnight miracles. Anyone else grow this rose and have these experiences? I'd love to hear what you did about this dormancy issue (by dormancy I mean no new growth, but no dying leaves either).
