Today at the nursery I bought a plant, which I think is a Day Lily. There was no label so a bargain at $.99. I am only guessing it is a Day Lily, and am trying to figure out the best location in the garden. Some say Full Hot Sun with regular water, and another said Partial Shade and moist.

That looks more like a lily to me - not a daylily. Possibly an asiatic lily? Here is a link to an asiatic lily so that you can see the foliage:



It should die back towards the end of summer into autumn and re-sprout next spring.

These two forums would be of much more help to you. Try reposting your photos there.
They might not be able to give you a specific cultivar, but they might be able to tell you what type of Lily it is. Once it blooms, you might know more.
