Up here, it has taken a while to establish. Planted in September 2020, I got some bloom the first July and would have gotten more but it was chomped by a stray deer. However it grew from 2 to 4 fans
Last year, SFB bloomed from July 7-28, with 37 blooms. However throughout the first half of its bloom cycle, most of the blooms were ugly, hung up and lumpy. I was getting very frustrated but when we hit a heat wave, this plant started to do very well. I'm not sure if it was heat or the Daylily hitting its stride but I'm willing to wait to find out. By October, it was up to 10 fans with no rust, even though many plants around it were suffering badly.
This April SFB is down to 7 fans, so it lost a few over the winter. Seems to me, this plant is probably happier in warmer climes but can survive and hopefully do well here once it's established.
And here is what it looks like when it's hanging up…at least it's sort of floppy and curls in on itself
