I've had Take Me Along only since fall 2021, so not that long. I love it so far, though. I bought the plant because it was a child of South Seas, my favorite and an excellent garden plant. Also, I read somewhere that Take Me Along was rust-resistant, which it has been here. I seem to remember that it showed a little rust in late fall after I planted it in 2021, but that is not in my notes, so I may be remembering a different plant. Anyway, Take Me Along has not shown any rust in 2022 or 2023 so far.
When I received Take Me Along, I was a little worried because it was a small, yellowish DF and didn't look too healthy. However, it perked up as soon as it was planted and has thrived since then. It bloomed and rebloomed in its first full season (2022) and has increased by a fan.
It has not yet met the registered specs for height here, but it very well may in time. I love the bloom: a lighter-colored, ruffled version of South Seas. I think Take Me Along is an excellent garden plant. I look forward to enjoying it this season and for many years to come.
