I've had Take Me Along only since fall 2021, so not that long. I love it so far, though. I bought the plant because it was a child of South Seas, my favorite and an excellent garden plant. Also, I read somewhere that Take Me Along was rust-resistant, which it has been here. I seem to remember that it showed a little rust in late fall after I planted it in 2021, but that is not in my notes, so I may be remembering a different plant. Anyway, Take Me Along has not shown any rust in 2022 or 2023 so far. Crossing Fingers!

When I received Take Me Along, I was a little worried because it was a small, yellowish DF and didn't look too healthy. However, it perked up as soon as it was planted and has thrived since then. It bloomed and rebloomed in its first full season (2022) and has increased by a fan.

It has not yet met the registered specs for height here, but it very well may in time. I love the bloom: a lighter-colored, ruffled version of South Seas. I think Take Me Along is an excellent garden plant. I look forward to enjoying it this season and for many years to come.

This has been a good plant here. It makes great seed and multiplies quickly forming a nice clump. I did not measure it or take a bud count, but I feel sure it was not as tall at the stats show nor did it have that great a bud count, still it was a beautiful clump in bloom.

A bloom on 'Take Me Along' after my awful spraying incident:

I gave this plant the same treatment as all the others affected by the spray and now have little fans in 5 locations hoping they will be back to normal in the spring.

Oh, wow. That last picture really drives home what happened. Really hope the plant recovers for you.
