I am having trouble finding the historic iris. I. Pallida Dalmatica on this site but see it listed in catalogs often. Under I. Pallida there are common names and cultivars mentioned, but not Dalmatica. There is a Dalmatian iris under Pallida. Not sure if it is the same, but again, in catalogs and on the Historical Iris Preservation site it is listed by itself as Dalmatica. And Bluebird Haven Irises lists it for sale.

I need to slow down reading!
If you had just entered 'Dalmatica' in the database search, it would have come up. Or look at the alphabetical listing.
Kent, any idea why it doesn't come up in the list when search with 'Iris pallida'? Dalmatica should be included.
Thank you guys for your help. I SWEAR I looked under I. Pallida, Pallida Dalmatica of course, Dalmatica; everything I could think of. But after reading your comments and checking….it is there ( I. Pallida still shows Dalmatian and not Dalmatica). I dont understand technology and it's many glitches and can't explain it, but thank you for replying so quickly.

Kent posted the Dalmatica iris above. Tall Bearded Iris (Iris pallida 'Dalmatica')
Linked below is the Iris pallida search results, it shows Dalmatica which is the cultivar name, shown between 2 single quotation marks. Within several of those, if you open them, it shows Dalmatian Iris listed as a Common name, along with several other known common names like Species iris, Sweet Iris. (The Dalmatian common name was not added to the Dalmatica entry.) https://garden.org/plants/sear...

Any of the cultivars related to the species pallida can have the common name of Dalmatian iris.
"Iris pallida is commonly known as Dalmatian iris because it is native to Dalmatia, a province of Croatia."
