Daylilies Region: Michigan Orchids Roses
This composition is beautiful! The penstemon and daylily 'American Revolution' echo the sand cherries foliage and at the same time offer contrasts in foliage form. I really like how you mix shrubs, small trees, and evergreens into your flower borders -- or maybe its the way you mix flowers into your shrub borders. To me it is a balanced, natural look.

Dwarf conifers are a great idea esp. here in Michigan. They provide something to look at / keep on framing the space even in the winter.
