I may have started the Wish List thread incorrectly since it is showing up in everyone's email but not here in the swap.

So I am posting again for anyone that may have missed it.

Please use this thread to post your seed wishes for this swap so other swappers get an idea of the type of seeds in their libraries to list for the swap.

Let me know if anyone has any questions. Happy swapping!

I'm looking for Micro Dwarf tomatoes, Goldman's Italian-American Tomato, Goji Berries, Wild Lettuce, Poppies, Foxgloves, Lavender, Snail Vine, and other Cottage Garden Flowers.
I'm also interested in flowers and herbs that can be used in tea making, and I'm interested in medicinals.
If you have unusual beans - any kind, winter Squash, corn, and Pumpkins I'd love them! Thumbs up

Okay, I missed the first night of dibbing. 😭 I'm floating out at sea til tomorrow morning, I missed out on nearly all of my beans. If anyone has extra of all of the HEIRLOOM BEANS and extras of GOLDMAN'S ITALIAN- AMERICAN Tomato, GOJI BERRIES, micro dwarf tomatoes, winter Squash and is willing to post them, I'd be a-okay with that and forever grateful. 😉❤️😃

Does anyone have some viable persimmon seeds?

I used to admire a gorgeous tall native persimmon tree in Kirksville, Missouri. Wonderful fall color followed by a display of walnut-sized burnished-coral fruits still hanging from all the branches. Beautiful. Never had a chance to taste the fruits.

The front page said trading is for 6 days, so 3 more is right.

"Ends July 29 7:00 PM"

My understanding is that with +6 each day we'll have 24 => 30 => 36 more tickets!!
= 90 total more
That's a lot! 😳
Not sure even I want that many. On the other hand my "seed greed" wishlist still has over 100. I just didn't realize that might actually happen!

Pat, I'll probably have fresh persimmon seeds for the Fall swaps, and more paw paw seeds, too.

Thanks Diana!

I'll keep a 5-star ready for persimmon seeds 👍🏻!

Someone else will probably want pawpaw seeds. When we moved here 30 years ago there was one pawpaw tree that I saw by the creek in back. We let more trees grow, now there's more woods (mostly black walnut thanks to squirrels). There are young pawpaw trees scattered all through it now but I've never seen the fruits on the original. They must be there ... whenever.

Pat,
Paw paws actually send out root suckers and create little groves from the same tree roots. I believe they need another variety to actually fruit. Its likly you have alot of trees from the same plant vs new trees from seed of fruit if you had 1 tree to start with.

Fruit usually ripens in September for me (outside of Dayton, Oh).

We have 10 acres and i have paw paws all over. They are actually my kids favorite seeds to collect. 😆

Also, paw paws need full sun to be productive. The tolerate shade, but don't really thrive in it.

The abundance of seeds is why I am doing this. I will use only a few for myself, and the bulk will go to Master Gardener projects in Georgia. I don't know much about veggies, and I've selected whatever strikes me. My largest sunny space is over my septic field, and I'm told that I can't plant food there, so I do native wildflowers. But, I think this year, I'm going to try interspersing a few veggies between the shrubs in the front of the house. We will see, it could be that it only makes the deer happy. Shrug!

There is ONLY ONE THING edible I have seen that even half starving deer won't eat, and that's OKRA! It should grow like a weed in your state. Green Grin!

Oh, no! I hope our deer never get past the okra leaves. They even eat onions, but seem to avoid the garlic.

Olivia and Diana,
Thanks for the information about pawpaws!

Maybe all I have is a single clone from our original pawpaw. Thanks Olivia, I'll study the appearance next summer to see if I can tell by its distribution.

Diana, I'll try to get some of your pawpaw seeds, so there can for sure be cross-pollinators.

Debra, I can't see why you would feel personally obliged to restock the swap list! You're the host, not the enabler. If you have time and excess, though, I will for sure check it out! Thanks for thinking of us seed-impoverished swappers.

I "only" have 86 so far. In exchange for 84 of mine. A profit! Grin About 3x as many as I thought I wanted. So, really I should stop. I have to buy more trays... but there are still must-haves!

The 3-stars become 4-stars. The 4-stars become 5-stars. You guys know all the verses to that song. You taught me nodding Thanks!

Moggs @mmolyson et al:

Bobbex repellent. It definitely works. It can be special ordered at Home Depot for free delivery to the store for pickup. Free delivery to your home if order is high enough. I think 2 RTU bottles would be enough $ for that.

We also bought a jug of concentrate to refill. It can stay in our garage and is not damaged as far as usability by freezing even if the bottle distorts.

I wrote a long post somewhere on NGA about it.
I should keep the text of it where I can access it to repost.

Pat,
I am going to double check and refresh some of my quantities today. I should definitely have enough seeds to go around if you dont get any from Diana.

Also, i know some use the float test to check paw paw viability and i can confirm floating paw paw seeds can definitely be viable. One year i took all of my floaters and put them in a pot and had a ton of them grow! 😆 So dont trust the youtube videos that say floaters wont grow. Rolling on the floor laughing
