I must have missed something. What did Barb do that she was fined by the HOA?

Her plants infringed on the neighbor's lawn, you know how plants will grow and spread profusely. She got a $2000 fine. That lady next door is ridiculous and complained if only one leaf was on her grass.

Barb's garden was so beautiful and added so much to that street. She removed a bunch of plants and a tree and still has a garden there, but from now on she has to put those pavers upright so they form a wall along that side of her yard. Sad

I think it was the lady's husband who complained about the plants infringement on his backing out of their driveway. I guess he complained about that and then the wife complained about other things and Barb didn't address it and the fines kept piling up.

Barb's garden went all the way out to the street and those plants were 8-9 ft tall, at least some of them. I know the HOA/complex where we live owns at least 8 ft from the street. It's your yard/lawn, but they own that piece of it. That is why I never plant anything close to the street level and I do understand about having obstructed vision when you are backing out of a driveway. It is a steep curve in that section.

I just hate it that that happened to her. She has the most beautiful garden in this whole complex. Lovey dubby

That's too bad that Barb couldn't have worked out something with the neighbors, that it went that far. And you know, the saddest thing is that relationship will be forever damaged, you just don't forgive and forget that. I'm sorry to hear this.
