Top right corner of your NGA homepage.
You should find a silhouette of an envelope, a bell and a person, head and shoulders. Click on the person and go to settings I believe and change it there.

You were nearly correct.
It is: Top right click on head /photo
Your profile
Change your account info
Write new password then again ... Bingo!

@catpaworchid has it as a "person, head and shoulders" because a profile photo was not added. Members who add a profile photo see a mini circled version of it in the menu bar.
