I have a few real nice stems this year. It's hard to get perspective but trust me they are thick.

The first pic is my stand of L. sargentiae. A lot of small guys with 2 nice ones.

Second pic is some thick Lankon stems. The one on the right should go over 5 ft with 7+ blooms I'm hoping.

Third pic is a really girthy Scheherazade. This thing has one of the thickest stems I've ever seen and the leaves are huge, probably 9 inches plus! I'm guessing it will go over 7 feet this year. I'm glad Judith Freeman threw it in on my first lily catalog order a few years ago. It is a great performer in the garden!

Nice foliage on some lilies

This is a nice stem of 'midnight' that is dwarfed by my giant 'Scheherazade'.

This a first year (for me) LA hybrid 'Pirandello'. The leaves are really big and are more reminiscent of LO leaves to me but it does have Longiflorum in the bloodlines so I guess the leaves could have more L influence.

I guess I'm a fan of long narrow, dainty fern-like foliage rather than wider bold type leaves--except in the case of dwarf Orientals. There I think the well rounded leaves add to their overall garden appeal.

I'm another one that likes the fine foliage. Reminds me of prehistoric tree ferns - if only I were the size of an aphid! Rolling on the floor laughing

Ive noticed on the leaves of my lilles there are small white straight lines on most of the leaves on the plants. Any ideas what this could be? I was given these lillies by a friend so never cared for them before. Thanks

Do you have a picture you can share as leaves can vary. Welcome to NGA, Tantasia87.
