Today's Salvias of the Day is Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii 'Desert Blaze').

This plant can be found in the ATP Plant Database at:
Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii Desert Blaze™) .

Please join in, if you own this plant! We would love to know more!

Also, please consider adding a "Local Report" to the ATP Plant Database! Thank you!

That looks to be a lovely sage. I clicked into the database, but details are sadly lacking. Can anyone fill out some of the fields? It would be helpful to know the hardiness zone at the very least. I'll check it out on the web. As I arrived here from Dave's Garden, a disheartening discovery I have made is that the database details are thin in spite of plants being listed. It takes a while to put them in, so perhaps more of an acorn award is warranted.

@FBTS

Do you know if 'Desert Blaze' is an AKA for the 'Variegata' salvia you offer or a different named salvia on its own? http://www.fbts.com/salvia-mic...

I've seen a couple of sources that show that DB has PP#8560

The variegated S. microphylla we grow was given to us by a friend years ago, and not identified as the patented 'Desert Blaze'. It seems very similar. This one is Zone 7 hardy but not generally as tough as others of this species.
