I acquired Final Touch in 2009. I really like its bicolor effect and that it is a late blooming daylily. For me, it has not increased as quickly as some of my other daylilies have. However, I like its happy looking, pretty face and so it shall remain in my garden.
This photo was taken in my daughter's garden on August 10, 2015. She purchased this plant in 2011. It has formed a nice clump for her and extends the daylily season. As you can see in the photo, there are still lots of buds to come.
I am a Final Touch enthusiast! I would never want to be without this particular Daylily. I thought originally that it would only come at the end of the season, but was amazed to find it starting at the beginning of July and running it's blossoms on almost a daily basis for between four to six weeks.
I have three photos in the database, but have some more that I'd like to share. If only I could figure out how to put three images together in one row, they wouldn't take up so much space. I'll see what I can do.
Well I tried - lost a couple, got them back, but couldn't jockey them into position as hoped. Are there directions somewhere for the procedure? I'm still learning.

I live here in north Florida and got Final Touch as a gift. I didn't realize it was a dormant or a diploid, so first it surprised me that it disappeared on me after blooming so beautifully and second, it wouldn't set a pod from any of my daylilies. I think that all but one or two were tets at the time - big surprise. It increased so fast where I had it located but blooming fell off - I don't know whether it was so much more shade under the oaks as they grew or if the plant just got too congested. The soil was a combination of the sandy clay loam, pine chips from having so many acres of pines timbered out, and about 2/3 of a dump truck load of mushroom compost all rototilled to a fine soft soil mix. I have divided and moved it over to its permanent home where it gets a lot more sun until mid to late afternoon so it will have some protection from the hottest hours of the Florida summer. I'll have to keep you posted on its performance in its new home. The flowers were such a clear pink with the lighter sepals. Very striking and so lovely. I like that it was so late so I got a huge flush of flowers late in the season. There were so many plants packed in there that I never figured out whether it rebloomed or not but it did bloom until early November. I am looking forward to seeing how they do it their new home. I really like this plant.

I bought it as a set of 3 half dead roots with small crowns in a bag at Walmart about 4 or 5 years ago . It took a long while for those tiny little things to come around and last year may have been its first year of real performance. It is now a healthy thriving plant with many many fans.
I also discovered that it is a bud builder and it looks like I had flowers from July 12 through at least at least August 25 (by the date on my pictures (Zone 5B, east facing garden with full morning sun and afternoon diffuse light).
I have had Final Touch since 2003. I also love the fact that it is a bi-color and that it is a later bloomer in my garden. It is planted in a semi shaded location so it has not increased as well as maybe it could. The scapes have also not ever reached their registered height of 32" here, but that is also possibly related to it being in a semi shaded area. This plant is definitely coming with me on our move north. I think it will do just as well in a colder zone as it does here. It is fertile both ways and have set an average amount of pods on it.
I bought Final Touch several years ago at Walmart. We ended up with two plants, so I don't know if it was supposed to be three, certainly didn't happen. It took some time for the plants to get started, and at some point, they sank---probably because of moles--and we nearly lost them. After lifting up the plants and lots of TLC, they are coming back nicely. They are not tall, and I can only wonder if they are planted in too shady a spot. I wish I could find my photo of Final Touch as a poly, it is so pretty. We are very fond of this daylily and it is nice to have it blooming later in the season.
I've been admiring other folk's FT for years and decided I would like it in my garden for late color. I planted it Spring 2022 and had a few blooms this summer from July 25- August 10 with 5 blooms. So, blooming right when it's supposed to! Still at 2 fans in October, it also contracted a bad case of rust. Hopefully, that will be gone in the Spring.
I am a big fan of Final Touch for a number of reasons. First, it blooms at the end of the season from June into October in my zone 7b north Georgia gardens, when all of the other daylilies have given up. Second, it consistently sets polymerous blooms in my garden, about 10-20% of the time. Third, it is a bud-builder, so even when I think it is done blooming, it puts on another bud. Fourth, now in its fifth year, it has formed clumps in several places in my garden, with 6-8 blooms open on some days.
