We just purchased a Nephthytus from Home Depot about 2 weeks ago. It was advertised as easy care, low light. We have it in a hanging pot in our kitchen. We have been watering it faithfully. It already seems to be in distress. Pics attached. I have no idea if it is being overwatered, underwatered, or has some disease. We really want to figure this house plant thing out so we can add more. So far none of the house plants we've bought have survived past six months. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Hi LJ, Welcome!
I'm not certain, but the issue with your Nephthytis - Arrowhead Plant (Syngonium podophyllum) might be a fungal infection from over watering. I find the Arrowhead vine to be a fairly drought tolerant plant.

Hopefully others will pop in with suggestions as to what the problem might be and tips to help.

Welcome! If you lose a lot of plants the problem usually, but not always, is overwatering. If you can lift the container does it feel heavy? A slightly less obvious possibility is that it is in a kitchen - is it possible that it is overhanging something that produces steam or heat?

I'm thinking it's not enough light combined with a watering issue. It looks like the hook is several feet from the window. My experience is that plants need to be at the window or within a foot or two, or they don't do as well.
