Thread OP

This plant started growing in my window box (balcony rail) that I didn't plant. Follows the sun all day then the leaves close @ night. Has beautiful yellow flowers about 3/8" - 1/2" that bloom for just one day, fold up at night & drop off the next day. Saw someone had posted a photo of one but before I could get information I had to setup an account & when I finished it I couldn't find it again. Posting photos. Have just noticed long thin seed pods growing from where the flowers were. Had transplanted into a larger planter & is about 4' tall now.

Does this have any thorns on it?
If not, then something in the senna or cassia line.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I agree It does look like Sesbania. I'm not sure what species, but with long thin pods it could be Sesbania herbacea.

Reminds me of the Sesbania drummondii I grew last year.

Sesbania drummondii flowers grow in a cluster and the pod are short and winged.
