I am working on patterns, watermarks, and eyes on small flowers of all forms. About a dozen pictured are small flowers but none are in the mini class. I also want good plant performance in branching and bud count, extended bloom and rebloom.
For us it is a process since it takes 2 years to bloom new seedlings. As we found this year, it can take more than 2 years. We are experimenting with different methods to see what results we can get. This year we went directlyfrom pods to pots, cups, and trays with no drying, or refridgeration of seeds. We have good success with 1200-1500 seedlings growing and several of them already planted in the garden. We will see if we bloom any of them earlier.
This year we have lots of mini seed crosses as well as several of the seedlings crossed back to miniatures. Little Surfer Girl is one we used the most as a pollen parent. The fridge is full of seeds now sproting in moist vermiculite. Hopefully lots to show in the future from this seed crop.

If you ever need anyone in the south to trial them for you .... look no further ... as I am more than game to give em a go! I can trial them for dormancy, rust resistance, and possibly even thrips.

You have some beautiful patterns there! My favorites are the third and the last.

6" bloom /4 branches and 20 buds. Extremely fertile both ways and I have tested it.


Even tho this is a 2012 seedling, I realized at the end of this season that I have crossed it to bring out the pattern in Super Fancy Facy and it has really worked. But I asked myself why I have not tried to cross something to bring out the green from RFK. So even after 3 years of seedlings there may be untapped possibilities in the future. I have more than 200 seedlings from this one that have not yet bloomed and this is not counting whatever I did with it this year.
