So what I purchased as 'Sancerre' has finally opened here. Being from the same source as the 'Corsica' imposter (see The thread "Not 'Corsica'" in Lilies forum), I decided to double-check the registry just in case a similar lily was being passed off for it.

Well, what I've got is out to up-facing, not up-facing as per the register. Two obvious issues are that the registry describes the nectaries as strong purplish red (which they aren't on this flower), and the outside as being yellowish white suffused with light yellow-green at the base (whereas this seems to have a hint of pink instead).

Note: the stigma colour probably won't be accurate, since I took these photos after pollinating it.

I don't suppose anyone has any ideas what it might be?

I don't know who it is exactly, but I do like it. As far as NOIDs go, pretty nice I'd say.

This is most likely Navona or Navarra, Joshua. I believe Navona is triploid. Excellent photos BTW.

Thanks Hank. Of those two, I'll lean towards 'Navona', then, since it's different to the 'Navarra' I have (which is substantially larger and has a different colour stigma). I'll check the colour of the stigma on the second bloom when it opens, but IIRC it matches the register description of yellow-green.

'Navona' is definitely a triploid according to a paper I read.

After seeing the different coloured stigma in the photos I took of my 'Navarra', I checked it in the register and the register also describes 'Navarra' as having a green-yellow stigma (which caused me a little concern).

However, upon checking it when I returned home this evening as well other photos I've taken of 'Navarra', it seems that the ones I've added to the database are an anomaly. The same bloom (almost finished now) has a stigma closer in colour to that described in the registry and another I took a photo of it shows it green a day later. Is it possible for the stigma to change colour?

This is what I bought from a questionable source (wholesale reseller) at least 14 years ago as "Sancerre", so you can see how long the wrong thing has been on the market

Thanks. That definitely looks like the same thing. I wish suppliers checked things a little more thoroughly (although I understand not all of them actually grow them to flower, so in that case they cannot).
