Deep cold snap week before last killed off my flowers (duh ), but our crazy weather is letting some make a comeback.

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe another year of gardening is on the way.

Here are a few blooms from my garden today, I ventured out in between the raindrops to take a few pics.

Rose William Shakespeare is putting out some blooms, despite our cold weather.



The camellias are also full of buds, and Apple Blossom is just about done blooming.

I bought this Verbena this spring. She told me it would stay green all winter. However, it's actually blooming in January outside. You have to find some of this plant. It's amazing!

Those pictures are great. I think I will try the Verbena, since I am in zone 8a or 8b. It's fun to deny the winter it's hold on the landscape.

Drippy and misty here. Very cold. No blooms anywhere so I placed a coneflower order with Santa Rosa.

My Jade plant outdoors is trying to bloom since December:



And Crassula springtime also trying to make a very early attempt to bloom, usually does it in Spring, but was doing the buds since December:


On the other hand, indoors, my Adenium obesum while hiding for the cold season and semi-dormant is blooming:

Same here Jo Ann, I have also checking out the new Echinacea on Santa Rosa. Just waiting till they have one of their good sales.

Great flowers! Does that Hoya smell great? I had the plain standard one, which stayed in bloom most of the time, and smelled awesome.

Kniphofia sarmentosa starting to show its winter time bloomstalk, hope it makes more!

Nothing spectacular, yet (although I do have Iris stalks emerging), but cute and colorful abounds...
