A wonderful addition to the garden and/or salvia garden. I love it. I've grown it in containers, as well as in the ground.

Salvia farinacea is a wonderful perennial native plant that can take the heat and the cold like a champ.
Here in North Central Texas, it blooms all summer if cut back after each bloom period.
It goes dormant in the winter but comes back early in the spring with renewed vigor. It can live for at least ten years, maybe longer and it performs best with plenty of sun.
I love this plant. Smiling

@frostweed

I'm happy for those that are lucky enough that can grow it as a perennial. Hurray!

I have to buy new plants each year, although I did have some Victoria Blue salvia one year that I planted in the ground, come back the next year. It's one of my favorites, although I don't find them as plants to purchase much anymore.
