'Edith Sliger' is a semi-evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2000 by Jeff Salter. Jeff and Elizabeth Salter hybridize at Rollingwood Garden in Gainesville, Florida.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Edith Sliger')

Edith Sliger does well in my climate. It is fairly sunfast and has nice foilage. It is not a very fast increaser, which is fine with me. I have had it awhile and I don't believe I have ever had to divide it. It is also not pod fertile for me. Overall though, I really like the flower and it opens well except on very cold nights. Will probably keep it in my garden.

Last year acquisition, and have it potted up right now. Can't wait to see it bloom this year.

It's no longer with me but my notes indicate I though it special while I did grow it and it seems to have increased well.
