Hi I went to give my plants their weekly shower, and seen my one spider plant has babies.

I keep it on my headboard, my question is would it be better to put a small clay pot with dirt or water beads under the baby to start rooting it? I think I will leave it on the stem till it roots.
Thank you

Sounds like a plan!
I sometimes just cut them off the mother plant, and root them separately too.

Yes, I'd leave it on the mama stem until it gets a little bigger.

I leave it on mommy plant and wait till it forms its own roots, and then cut it off. That way it has ready roots. Also I like seeing several of them cascading for awhile from mommy plant for awhile. Smiling

I grow mine outdoors year round, so when I am just quite lazy, I just put a container with soil below and let those dangling babies find their way there eventually.
