There are a few posts I'd like to augment. Is there this ability? Not everyone who posts is correct or would be more correct with added suggestions. Or for further clarification before jumping in and looking like an idiot it would be nice to ask the person who wrote the post a few questions. That would also help others, I am sure..

Just scroll down any thread and a 'post a reply' box appears for you to add a comment. When you are done typing you can hit the preview button first if you like and then hit Finished, or skip that and click 'Finished' and it adds your post to the existing thread. When someone replies to that thread, it will show up on your Home page that there are new posts.

And if the thread you want to comment on has more than one page of posts, you'll need to go to the last page of the thread to get to the "post a reply" box.

I could be wrong but I think a reply to your post will show up on your homepage only if you have it set to do so in your preferences which is the little person in the upper right hand corner.

When commenting on a previous post it might be a good idea to use the "quote" feature so folks will know which post you are wanting to correct.

If you want, you could send the person a Treemail to ask them in advance for clarification of their post as they may not know it was wrong.

@stormytrai -- all good advice here; I think Greene summed it all up very nicely. If you need any help with using the "quote" or "treemail" or any other features, please ask (we all love to look like we know what we're doing )

That's an automatic preference setting.
