Week 2!:
Peanuts are starting to bloom. I had to stand the cages upright so I can weed under them. Haven't had time to do it , though. These are Virginia Jumbo peanuts.
My boysenberries are blooming;
Beans are climbing and blooming. I have Romano, yard long beans, Spanish musica, butter beans, rattlesnake, and pinto
Asparagus, I have never got more than a dozen a day in ten years, though I have a 30x20 ft. area and have divided them, added compost each year, weed.
Pigeon peas still hiding:
Corn, what's up is growing. I had two other 8x8 squares with different corn behind them, but only bantam corn came up;
Onions are growing, artichokes have stopped;
Tomatoes are blooming, and I have 9 green ones. I'm training them to stay on the eastern sides of the cage, so that garden peas will shade them a little, even if the pea vines die;
Starting to get summer squash. I pick them bite size. I have round and straight zucchini, and flying saucer squash;
Winter squash would be Hubbard, butternut, and acorn. Starting to get a few;
