I would love to see everyone's veggie garden, no matter how small, weed infested, or just coming up.
So, here's mine:
This is my peanut patch. First year for peanuts. I have to put tomato cages on top, and last years rolled plastic to protect them from chickens.






These are boysenberries. I have 4 rows + I'm transplanting them all along the back fence line.

This is my winter garden, though not much came up except lettuce.




And I planted a variety of sunflowers in there:



This is my perennial garden, though I add annuals into any available space. So I have asparagus just starting:




I planted three squares of different corns in between the asparagus, but only bantam corn came up:







This is my artichokes with onions:




These are my tomatoes. I plant them on the east side of the cage, with garden peas on the west side, and melons in the middle of each cage. Hoping all of that will cool them off this summer.

And here in these empty appearing pots are pigeon peas which I planted first time early march, no peas. Again about two weeks ago, no peas. They are in pots as they die every winter here, and must be a binneal in my garden.

Can you tell me where to find the place to "add a thread?". I can't find a lot of things that were easy to find in ATP. I did look in every category in the drop downs at the top before I posted this, too. Anyway, thanks for moving it

Love seeing others gardens. Too early to be planting here, but here's a few photos from last year. Will try to update later this season. My basic set-up will be the same. I have an Earthbox garden, which holds my tomatos, peppers, eggplants, beans and cabbage. I have 2 raised beds that hold my garlic, leeks and onions. I plant my potatoes in SmartPots in amongst my cottage garden behind my fence, and train the vines up in cages (no room for sprawl). Herbs grow in pots here and there. We have a very picky HOA so I have to try to make my veggies look pretty and/or hide them behind other things, like flowers.

It is fun to see all the different garden spots!

TK ~ I see you fight off the livestock like I do. I try to keep my cat/dog collection out of my raised beds. I use cattle panels and wire baskets laying flat to keep the dogs from walking through and digging up my organic fertilizer which must be tasty to them. It also prevents the cats from using it as their own litter box. They all leave it alone after the plants fill in. At least my critters keep the wild critters away.

GymGirl ~ love your 'long shot'. My long shot is 'will this garden do anything this year?'! lol Yours always looks so loved and well tended.

Week 2!:
Peanuts are starting to bloom. I had to stand the cages upright so I can weed under them. Haven't had time to do it , though. These are Virginia Jumbo peanuts.



My boysenberries are blooming;



Beans are climbing and blooming. I have Romano, yard long beans, Spanish musica, butter beans, rattlesnake, and pinto



Asparagus, I have never got more than a dozen a day in ten years, though I have a 30x20 ft. area and have divided them, added compost each year, weed.



Pigeon peas still hiding:



Corn, what's up is growing. I had two other 8x8 squares with different corn behind them, but only bantam corn came up;




Onions are growing, artichokes have stopped;



Tomatoes are blooming, and I have 9 green ones. I'm training them to stay on the eastern sides of the cage, so that garden peas will shade them a little, even if the pea vines die;



Starting to get summer squash. I pick them bite size. I have round and straight zucchini, and flying saucer squash;


Winter squash would be Hubbard, butternut, and acorn. Starting to get a few;

I think your not good climate for asparagus, im zone 8a also. Can't grow it hear. Along California's coast, they grow the heck out of it.

Whats the baskets on peanuts for ?
And plastic?
Peanuts need to spread out on ground to produce well.

The cages are to keep the chickens from digging or eating the peanuts. But, the good news is since we caged all the hens, we have no more roosters born. Now down to 20 of them. Had 60 at the peak. The noise was making me crazy. Plastic is to keep same chickens from reaching into the cages.

Mine is just getting started. I do square foot gardening for the small crops. 2 types of radishes, 2 carrots, 2 swiss chard, 1 sq of kohlrabi, 3 sq of spinach, 3 cantaloupes and 3 of watermelons so far.

13 tomato seedlings planted: 3 brandywine, 3 cherokee purple (my favorite), 2 pineapple, 2 striped german, 2 ponderosa pink, 1 Big beef as backup.

Not much to show yet.

Since you qualified it with weed infested I figured I could post mine.

Shown here are the 3 Super Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes in the front, 2 Chocolate Cherrys and 1 Sun Gold along the right side. Some basil on the right in the fancy pot and the black pots on the wall are shishito peppers. Unseen but still in this area are 3 casper eggplants and also various lettuces in the shady part.


Okay, side view. In the buckets from left to right are jalepenos, golden rave tomato, sun gold cherry, then two more golen raves, a pineapple, sweet bannana peppers and another pineapple. I grow a lot of stuff in buckets as you can tell. Well, I "try" to grow stuff in buckets.


Back corner of the yard and our first attempt with a straw bale. That's a yellow bell pepper and a purple bell. The three green pots are blueberries. On the left is some regular sage, some pineapple sage and some gypsy peppers I believe. There are a couple more peppers that you can't see to the left as well as a tiny meyer lemon I started from seed last year and a fig.


On the southern side of the house in a raised bed I have snap peas, edamame, zuchinni and
black beauty eggplant, but unfortunately no picture.

That's pretty much it for this year with the exception of some hanging baskets of sweet mint, chocolate mint, cilantro and spicy basil.

Ok, i just love all your gardens! @Gymgirl, sorry to be dumb, but what is the plant with big leaves? @Philipwonel, are those soaker hoses you use? If so, do you have problems with them drenching the soil in places, and no water at all other places? Anyone with this problem? Also, thanks for your asparagus comment. So, i went out and sowed all my leftover melons seeds amonst the asparagus to cool them a little. @moms2goldens, are those plastic storage bins? Looks nice! Yes, @pod, i do have critter trouble, so my whole garden has 6' horse fencing around it. Keeps out anything bigger than a lizard. Unless, i forget to shut the gate tight, and sneaky squirrel serpents crawl in. My goodness, @plantmania, your cattle panels look so pretty!. How tall is the space under them? And the boxes, 2'? @yardenman, if you show us a picture now, we can all check your progress. @Werepanda, i think your garden looks very nice. Every year i make a resolution to keep all the weeds out. Every year i fail somewhere. Can anyone tell me if weeds ever stop germinating? Seems like there's supposed to be a proper time for each plant to germinate. @Newyorkrita, where are your garden pictures???
