Thread OP

Hey I was wondering if someone could identify this plant? And possibly what it needs to survive :D

Looks like Euphorbia lathyris (Gopher spurge). I have them growing here in zone 9a in almost complete shade to mostly sun. They need very little water as they will volunteer on the outskirts of my garden area and thrive without care. They have a milky sap like all Euphorbias that can be allergenic. Kind of fun looking plant and the gophers won't eat it, Hilarious!

I agree

Oh, one thing I didn't mention is that they are an annual. So if you want them next year wait until the seeds are falling off the plant and then plant them where you would like plants next year. Here are some that came up on their own in my garden.

You don't need to collect seeds - you will have an entire yard (and your neighbors too) of volunteers. Smiling

Thread OP

Thank you everyone xD

They randomly appeared in our student garden and I thought they were cool so looks like I'm taking them home Smiling Any particular notes for excavating them without harm haha? I don't know much about gardening but my mum does and she really wants them :D She said something about waiting until they're not flowering?

Thanks again Smiling
