Those indoors are taller because they are stretching to receive more light. Those outdoors are receiving plenty of light, so their growth is more compact and lush. In this case, bigger isn't necessarily better. The taller indoor plants will end up having thinner, weaker stems if not given supplemental light or grown in a bright window.
They will also likely develop better color outside where they will stronger light - of course, this is subjective. "Better" depends on what you prefer.
